Hand Book of Mivan Formwork: Hand Book of Aluminium Formwork System Kindle Edition
by Imran Khan
Construction is one of the areas of employment where hazardous conditions are part of the everyday working environment. The construction industry is prone to many hazards and accident can happen if safety is ignored. Construction materials, tools, machinery and handling techniques all come with their own dangers. The main types of accidents which cause death or serious injury on construction sites include falls, incidents with site vehicles, collapsing materials and contact with overhead power lines. Keeping the above facts in mind Mivan Formwork Safety Manual has outlined the basic cautionary guidelines for labourers / workmen working in this field with a view to ensure them of maximum safety. Presently, the author is working on a complete execution manual of Mivan / Aluminium formwork system as below:
The book “Hand Book of Mivan Formwork - for working professionals “is the first text book which elaborates modular aluminium formwork execution in details.
It gives me immense pleasure to present to the vast world of construction industry the first edition of this book. As a professional engineer I have been extensively working with modular aluminium formwork throughout my professional career and this book is in detail scripts the text of my complete practical experience till date.
For the success of any civil engineering project formwork plays the most important and major role, in terms of project performance, cost, completion time and quality output. Though being such an important and vast component of the industry, still not much is taught to our engineers in their under graduate or post graduate level. And so engineers do not understand the technicalities in depth and also do not get ample opportunity to learn the system formwork due to unavailability of specific text books.

Speculative Testment of Heat Treated Aluminium MMC Paperback
by M. Yunus Sheikh, Karthikareddy G., Mrityunjay Horakeri
In the current work, nickel-coated hBN with Al7075 has better property. when Unalloyed material compared with Al7075. The hybrid reinforced composite exhibits & excellent hardness property, due to the addition of nickel coated hBN particles in the Aluminium 7075 matrix. The Vickers hardness number for Al7075 + 4.5% nickel-coated hBN shows a high hardness value compare with the base metal. An additional heat-treated at 100 0c in a muffle furnace for 11hours and water quench its hardness show a high value as compare to the base metal. Also the hybrid reinforced composites exhibit excellent tensile property; as compared with base metal (Al7075) and Al7075+4.5% nickel-coated hBN show high Breaking Load and Ultimate Tensile Strength. Thus by investigating the hardness properties for both hybrid composite and base metal, it is found that the hardness of hybrid metal matrix composite plates was higher when compared to Al7075 alloy. The critical inferences of results of project work conclude that the Hybrid Aluminum 7075 metal matrix composites have a better hardness and tensile property than the base metal, at the expense of ductility.

Studies of corrosion behaviour of aluminium 6061 / quartz composites Paperback
by H R Radha (Author), P V Krupakara (Author)
The present book highlights the manufacture of metal matrix composites with the use of aluminium as matrix material and quartz particulates as reinforcement by liquid melt metallurgy technique using vortex method. Then the composite materials are subjected various corrosion testing method the characterize the corrosion behaviour of the composites with respect static weight loss, stress corrosion, open circuit potential and potentiodynamic polarization method. Detailed results and discussion are there at the end of the book which will help in the application of the materials in the fields o aeronautical, aerospace and automobile industries.

Accident-Tolerant Materials for Light Water Reactor Fuels
By Raul Rebak
The book provides a description of what an accident tolerant fuel is and the benefits and detriments of each concept. The book begins with an introduction to nuclear power as a renewable energy source and the current materials being utilized in light water reactors. It then moves on to discuss the recent advancements being made in accident tolerant fuels, reviewing the specific materials, their fabrication and implementation, environmental resistance, irradiation behavior, and licensing requirements. The book concludes with a look to the future of new power generation technologies. It is written for scientists and engineers working in the nuclear power industry and is the first comprehensive work on this topic.
